چکیده
As considerable advance has recently been made in enhancing the conductivity of anion-exchange membranes, durability become critical requirement development fuel cells. Such properties often develop at expense other. In this work, new amphiphilic semi-interpenetrating networks composed free polysulfone and crosslinked are synthesized for first time. The same nature both polymers makes them highly compatible. polymer provides hydrophobic component, whereas polysulfone, functionalized with trimethylammonium, 1-methylimidazolium, or 1,2-dimethylimidazolium groups, is responsible ionic conductivity. compatibility between components blend, improves mechanical properties, while unaffecting transport properties. Thus, obtained membranes exceed behaviour commercial materials, even conditions extreme humidity temperature. tensile strength these can reach to relatively high values, when compared PSU, difference be noted as low 10%. Moreover, ductility values PSU higher than those non-crosslinked PSU. Furthermore, presented work show a great alkaline stability (e.g. network containing maintains 87% after 14 days treatment). provide an improvement limiting factors, comparison polysulfones, fulfilling requirements used electrolytes membrane

متن کاملPoly (Ether Ether Ketone) Based Anion Exchange Membrane for Solid Alkaline Fuel Cell: A Review
Solid alkaline fuel cell is employed by polymer anion exchange membrane (AEM) that is permeable to hydroxide ion. A number of polymers have been proposed for AEM which include polysulfone (PSF), poly (phenylene oxide) (PPO), and poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK). The purpose of this paper was to conduct a critical review on the development of PEEK polymer as AEM, particu...

In present research work, homogeneous anion exchange membranes based on polysulfone (QAPSFs) were prepared via chloromethylation, amination and alkalization. In amination step, trimethylamine and N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine were used as amination and crosslinking agents, respectively. The chloromethylated polysulfone was characterized by 1HNMR spectroscopy and chloromethylation degr...
متن کاملAlkaline Anion Exchange Membranes for Fuel Cells- a Patent Review
Recently, Alkaline Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (APEMFCs) have been attracting worldwide attention mainly due to the prospect of using non–platinum–group metal catalysts. In addition, there is growing evidence that these fuel cells can operate with the presence of carbonate. This mini review will introduce the state–of–the–art in understanding of alkaline anion–exchange membranes (AA...
